Description
Size: Max length 36.0 cm TL male/unsexed; common length 25.0 cm TL male/unsexed.

Color: Body red, with a series of silvery white streaks forming a longitudinal white line along each row of scales, fins reddish white.

Dorsal spines (total): 12; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13 - 13; Anal spines: 4; Anal soft rays: 11.

Dioecious, external fertilization, nonguarders, open water/substratum egg scatterers.
