Description
Color: Dull green or yellowish.

Thalli up to 0.3 mm in height, crustaceous, compact, orbicular, smooth, glistening, forming expanded strata. Filament 10-15 µm in diameter at the middle, bases slightly decumbent and swollen. Sheath thick, generally lamellated. Trichomes 5-10 µm in diameter, ending in long hairs. Cells 2.5-5 µm in length. Heterocysts basal.
