Description
Color: Dark yellowish-green or blue-green, sometimes becoming dark violet when dried.

Thalli up to 1-3 cm, caespitose, mucous. Filaments decumbent and tangle at the base, above flexuous, 7-26 μm broad. Sheaths 1-3 µm in thickness, colorless, somewhat mucous, lamellose with age. Trichomes 5-12 µm in diameter, not constricted at the cross walls, frequently granulated. Cells 2-11 μm broad, 2-3 μm long. Apical cell showing slight attenuation, with depressed conical or round calyptra.
