Description
Color: Thalli pale blue-green or yellowish-green, mucous gelatinous.

Colonies spherical, ellipsoid or without definite shape. Cells cylindrical, 1.5-2.5 µm in diameter, 4-6 µm in length, 2-4 times longer than diameter with rounded ends, single or in pairs. Common sheath hyaline, colorless, homogeneous.

Planktonic or epiphytic on other algae.
