Description
Color: Light purplish red

Thalli erect, 5-10 cm high, 1-2 mm broad, membranous-cartilaginous cylindrical, irregularly alternate or secundly branched sometimes dichotomous, caespitose. Branches markedly constricted at the base and tapering toward apex. In transverse section, transition from medulla to cortex extremely abrupt. Tetrasporangia cruciately divided. Cystocarps globose, nutritive filaments present.
