Description
Shrub; leaves simple, opposite, blade elliptical, tip acute, shedding leaves in dry season. Flowers bell shaped, 5 lobed, white corolla, distinctive long purplish red stamens, 3 flowered cyme, axillary. Fruit egg-shaped somewhat hairy drupe, 4 segmented, green to brown.

Flowering and fruiting: April-November (West Bengal),March-October (Orissa), April-August (Andhra Pradesh), November-April (Tamil Nadu).
