Description
Color: Dark brown when dried often glaucous

Plants with long simple divisions from the short primary axis or with these more or less copiously laterally branched. Elongate axes slender, smooth; upper leaves elliptical, oblong-lanceolate or linear, the margin entire or faintly crenulate, the costa evident, the cryptostomata small. Basal leaves sometimes sparingly pinnately divided. Vesicles few, spherical often mucronate, on stalks about equal to the diameter. Fertile branches repeatedly dichotomously branched, filiform, verrucose, about half as long as the subtending leaves.
