Color: Yellow brown

Thalli about 4-6 cm in height, flabelliform, each provided with a short stipe, covered with many short brown hairs at the base. Upper portions of the thalli often divided into many small segments, apical margins of the segments involute, flabellate, membranaceous, entire at margins, on the under surface often incrusted slightly with chalk, interpilar zones wide. Blades composed of 6-8 layers of cells near the base, 2-4 layers in the upper portions. Tetrasporangia in sori, each covered with an inducium, scattered in every interpilar zone, rather irregular, sometimes forming a concentric line occupying the middle part of the interpilar zone, sometimes forming two lines along the hair lines or distributed between two hair lines.
