Description
Size: Height 12-15 cm.

Color: Dark brown

Basal portion discoidal. Upper portion, firm, more or less richly branched dichotomously. Branches ribbon-shaped, with a prominent midrib, margins more or less entire, apices round. Thallus many-layered in the midrib region, 2-4 layered in the wings. Cells of the midrib region small, thick-walled, quadrate to rectangular in shape and richly provided with chromatophores. Cells of the wings large, thin walled, more or less quadrate, poor in contents.

Hairs and reproductive bodies occurring in groups scattered along the midrib.
