Description
Color: Brownish purple

Thalli soft, 2-3 cm long, 2 or 3 times pinnately branched, corticated, periphero-haptera issuing irregularly, forming extensive prostrate intricate patches with branches overlapping each other. Branches either elongated and indefinite or short and definite. Ultimate branchlets terminating in simple or branched monosiphonous filaments, consisting of many slightly barrel-shaped cells. Tetrasporangial stichidia cylindrical-rostrate to lanceolate.
