Description
Size: Height 12-20 cm.

Color: Dark-brown on the lower portion and olive green on the upper.

Plants growing in dense tufts, thick in the lower portion and thinner in the upper. Basal portion decumbent, creeping, subterete or somewhat flattened forming filamentous rhizoids. Upper portion erect regularly dichotomously divided several times. Branches distantly situated, being 2-3 cm apart, broad linear-lingulate, broader at the base, but narrowing gradually towards the apices. Branches of the lower part of the thalli below the dichotomy 0.75-1.5 cm broad, ultimate branches 3-4 mm broad. Angles between the branches rounded; apices of the branches round, margin entire.

Reproductive organs scattered over the surface of the thallus.
