Description
Color: Yellow green to dark green

Substratum: Intertidal rocks, coralline stones

Occurrence: Lower littoral zone, common in tidal pools

Season: August-April

Abundance: Moderate

Thalli coenocytic, spreading or creeping among coarser algae, in part later becoming erect to 2-3 cm in height. Thalli composed of short branching filaments of rather large cylindric-clavate, sometimes arcuate, coenocytic cells 5-15 mm long, 2-5 mm diameter. Branching from all sides of the cells. Branches regular; vesicles 5-10 mm long and 2-5 mm broad.
