Description
Thallus form and type: Flattened thallus tufts

Substratum: Calcareous stones

Occurrence: Lower mid littoral zone and infra littoral fringe

Season: November-April

Abundance: Moderate

Copiously branched plants, about 1 cm high. The diameter of the cells vary from 30-40 micron near the base to 8-10 micron at the tip, growth is diffuse; thin rhizoidal filaments may develop from the upper part of the main branches.
