Description
Size: Trichomes 8.0-25 μm in diameter, the cells 2-4 μm long.

The apex not tapering, not constricted at the nodes. Filaments aggregated, loosely intermingled forming casepitose brownish blue-green muccous expensions attached on the surface of other algae, at base decumbent, sheats thick, firm, colourless when old lamellated, outside rough, protruding far behind apices of the trichomes; cells shorter than broad; cell contents olive blue-green, homogenous with granules distributed towards septa, gas-vacuoles few distributed irregularly in the centre; end cell rounded, not capitate, calyptra absent; cell wall thick, smooth.

Found epiphytic on pneumatophores.
