Description
Thallus form and type: Remiform and cylindrical

Substratum: Intertidal rocks, coralline stones

Occurrence: Mid littoral zone, tide pools

Season: November-April

Plants copper red in color, fleshy, more than 14 cm tall, erect, caespitose, terete, repeatedly, irregularly and dichotomously branched; fronds about 2 mm in diameter, terminal portions gradually tapering to acute tips; thallus composed of an epidermal layer of uniform cells and large cortical cells; cuticle thick; the central medullary filaments made up of thick filaments.
