Plants upto 5.0 mm tall, attached by a single basal disc, filaments usually uniseriate, multiseriate at the upper parts, pseudo-dichotomously branched, cells 1-3 times longer than broad or disc shaped, long cells barrel shaped, chloroplast stellate with a pyrenoid, asexual reproduction by monospores.
