Description
Color: Dark purple

Thalli cartilaginous, 2-4 cm, up to 5-6 cm high, cylindrical, filiform in thick tufts, rising from creeping segments, erect portions. Erect position with subnaked base, usually branched in irregular pinnate manner, alternate or opposite, more branches arising from the same place, acute at apices. Tetrasporangia in the terminal portion of the branch, cruciate.
