Size: Height up to 40 cm.

Plants possessing a callous basal disc, distichously branched. Branches of the lower portion longer than those of the upper. Stem flattened, 1-2 mm thick. Leaves petiolate, linear-lanceolate, narrow at the bases and apices, margins entire, rarely toothed upwards, 3-7 cm long and 6-10 mm broad. Leaves of the upper portion of the branches 2.5 cm long and 6-8 mm broad, more acute and sharply toothed, provided with midrib and cryptostomata. Vesicles borne on dilated foliaceous petiole, the former somewhat elliptical. Vesicles and petiole equal in length.

Receptacles racemosely branched, pedunculate , compressed, irregular in shape and toothed.
