Description
Size: Height 20-30 cm.

Color: Dark brown

Plants with the basal portion forming a thick discoidal holdfast. Upper portion more or less richly branched, radially organized. Axes of the plant rough due to presence of short processes. Leaves obovate-oblong, about 2 cm long and 0.5 cm broad, becoming smaller upwards. Margins of the leaves more or less dentate, apex more or less rounded. Midrib more or less conspicuous, with cryptostomata sparsely occurring on either sides of it. Vesicles small, spherical, being 1-2 mm broad.

Receptacles triquetral, richly branched racemosely or unbranched, oogonial and antheridial receptacles borne on separate plants.
