Description
Size: Thallus 20 cm high

Color: Dark green

Thallus erect, fronds arising from broad, spongy basal disc, dichotomously branched upto 6 orders, branches terete, but flattened at dichotomies, 3-5 mm diameter in lower parts, 8 mm at dichotomies, utricles obovate, cylindrical or clavate, 100-275 µm in diameter, 500-900 µm long, apex obtuse, apical wall moderately thickened, lamellate, hairs and scars abundant, gametangia ovoid or oblong or fusiform, 50-110 µm diameter, 165-240 µm long, apex obtuse, utricles born on a protruberance, medullary filaments 30-45 µm diameter.
