Description
Color: Purplish

Thalli brittle, cylindrical, 5-6 cm high, often irregularly densely branched, densely intricate-caespitose consisting of small compact tufts on substrata. Branches patent, 0.5-1.5 mm thick, spinous and acute at the apex, not constricted at the base. Lenticular thickenings in the walls of the medullary tissue seldom present. Tetrasporangia on one side of somewhat swollen parts of upper branches.
