Description
Thallus form and type: Remiform and spongy

Substratum: Intertidal rocks and calcareous stones

Occurrence: Lower mid littoral zone, water streams

Season; November- April

Plants light green in color, attached by flat discs with many erect cylindrical axes; erect axes 16 cm or more tall, terete, 2-4 mm broad, many times regularly dichotomously divided at a distance of 2-3 cm or a little more between the divisions; angles between branches narrrow, straight and upwardly directed. Utricles clavate. Branches cylindrical throughout, not swollen at dichotomies. It also found growing along with Sargassum beds.
