Color: Brownish

Body elongate, head compressed; eye hidden, snout longer than eye. A pit at the upper margin of the opercle. Teeth in both jaws, in upper jaw 2 canines on each side. Dorsal fin with 48 rays, anal with 40 rays, both connected with caudal. Ventral fin united.
