Description
Size: Cells in main axis 40-70 μm in diameter, 200-400 μm long; cells in branches 15-40 μm in diameter and 160-600 μm in length

Color: Dark green

Thallus perennial, filaments attached to the substratum by rhizoidal cells arising from the basal cell; filaments sparingly to repeatedly branched, growing in tufts; lateral branching giving the appearance of the dichotomy due to the evection of main axis, verticellate in lower portions, solitary or crowded above, apical cell slightly attenuate, ending in pointed tip. Cells cylindrical, 3-20 times longer than broad, jointed end to end.

Occurs epiphytic on sea grasses.
