Size: 4-5 cm long

Plants epiphytic on seaweeds, diameter of filaments 90-150 μm; branches dichotomous or trichotomous, spinous, cells clavate, lower cells upto 600 μm long, terminal cells 90-240 μm long, 70-90 μm broad, branched rhizoids arise from the basal cell, 30-55 μm diameter.
