Color: Dark red

Thalli capillary, 0.5-2 cm in height. Holdfasts conical disc-like consisting of rhizoidal cells. Branches regular dichotomous and with branchlets in upper portions, the apices of branches incurved or rolled inwards, often straight. Corticated in each node, 4-6 transverse cell-rows. Tetrasporangia one to four on each node, ovoid, tetrahedrally divided or cruciate. Cystocarps borne terminally on branchlets or laterally on branches, 1-3 goniomolobes, surrounded by 3-5 involucral ramuli.
