Description
Color: Varies from red to brown to yellow-green.

Attachment by means of disc-like base, the bushy thallus up to a foot in length but most frequently only several inches long. It is rather firm, almost coarse, with major axes about 1/16th of an inch thick. Branching is basically dichotomous, abundant and tapering.
