Size: 3 cm; aperture up to 21.8 x 20 mm.

Color: Blue to violet, paler near the suture.

Spire domed, with a shallow subsutural sulcus, periphery subangulate, columellar column and the outer lip meet at a moderate angle. Outer lip with a broad, shallow central sulcus, surface smooth. The edge of the shell opening has a small incision.
