Description
Color: Green

Plants frequently and widely branched. The cells 9-40 µ diameter, 15-50(-80) µ long, generally cylindrical, partly somewhat irregular, containing a parietal lobed and interrupted chromatophore with several pyrenoids. Hairs 1-3 on each cell, the bases often somewhat spirally twisted.

Zoosporangia subcylindrical to irregularly swollen, intercalary or terminal on short branches, 16-40 µ diameter, 30-85 µ long.
