Description
Frond ovate, inner cuticle 4 ┬Ám thick.

Thallus form and type: Oval and unbranched

Substratum: Rocks, stones, shells, pebbles

Occurrence: Mid littoral zone, tide pools and placid waters

Season: November-April

Plant yellowish green in color, 0.5-40. cm long, 0.3-1.8 cm wide, attached by minute holdfast; fronds hollow, single, occasionally 4-5 from a common base, simple, flat, ovate; cells in surface view irregularly arranged through out the thallus, polygonal with granular chloroplast.this alga is endemic to Indian coast.
