Length: 300-500 ┬Ám

The body is vermiform rather than lanceolate; the start of the neck region is not clearly defined. The tail is slightly pointed and the anterior apex of the cell is slightly curved. The peribuccal fossa is clearly discernible. Long cilia line the elongate buccal region. The nuclear apparatus consists of two macronuclei and a single micronucleus which lie centrally.
