Size: Length 150-300 mm. by 10-15 mm.

Color: Thorax blood red, abdomen yellowish. Gills red.

Body long, cylindrical. Thoracic setiger 13, biannulate and tesselated. One another asetigerous segment. Thorax with capillary setae only. Abdominal parapodia as low ridges bearing rows of hooks. Branchiae retractile, with numerous simple filaments appearing from abdominal segments 20-25 onwards.
Prostomium small, conical. Peristomium long, achaetous. Compound gills, with numerous simple filaments, from about the 20th abdominal segment. Body tough. Genital pores from the last thoracic segment.
