Size: Cell length 115-180 µ; Breadth 60-85 µ.

Valves semicircular, dorsal margin strongly convex and ventral margin almost straight or with a slight median inflation; sculpture on valve fine and hexagonal, arranged irregularly, radiating from centre to periphery; whole cell in girdle view appears as a sector of an orange.
