Description
Size: Filaments 15 to 30 µm broad, 125-210 µm long.

Plants mostly free floating, plant body filamentous, filaments wiry and stiff, unbranched; cell inside the filaments distinct. Cell wall thick appear jointed or articulated with dark green bands; cells constricted at the transverse walls; chloroplast reticulate with many pyrenoids.
