Description
Plant firmly attached to substratum by well formed disc. Frond 10-30 cm long, ramiformed; ramifications irregualrly dichotomous, shape of thallus very variable, compressed and in some more or less terete. Thallus below the furcations broadened out, cuneate and always compressed, the broadest part up to 1.5 - 2.5 cm; elsewhere the width of segments about 5 mm.Hairs abundant, ends of branches somewhat broader upward. Utricles of variable sizes, 1150µ long 450µ broad; gametangia 270µ long, 90µ broad.
