Description
Color: Thallus bright green when fresh but gradually fades to yellowish green color or even completely bleached when it is colorless with a papery consistency when dry.

Substratum: Rocks or as epiphyte.

Occurrence: Lower mid littoral zone, seawater streams, tide pools.

Season: August-April

Plant body resembles a broken or irregular net; fronds deeply and quite irregularly laciniated and perforated; laciniae undulated and torted; pores are of different sizes and shapes (circular, oval, elongated or irregular in outline); thallus margin having very minute microscopical teeth like structures at distant intervals. Cells of the thallus isodiametric or may be longer than broad.
