Color: Dull greenish grey, columella and interior of the aperture are pale purplish brown.

Shell thick, narrow and elongately ovate, with a much elevated spire. The whorls are angulated near the sutures; the surface is roughly transversely striated throughout; few widely spaced strongly raised, transpiral ribs obscurely tuberculated. The aperture is narrow and ovate, the anterior canal short and open and the columella smooth, with a thin deposit of callus. The outer lip bears on the inside about six transversely elongated teeth.
