Size: 9 cm TL

This species is very similar to Pomacentrus vaiuli except for its abruptly white tail, a bluish snout, interorbital and forehead and a generally reddish ground color. Dorsal spines (total): 13 - 13, Dorsal soft rays (total): 15 - 16, Anal spines: 2, Anal soft rays: 15 - 16.
