Description
Color: Dark blackish brown.

The outer surface of the shell bears radiating ribs which may either be smooth or bear erect, recurved, scaly processes; hinge margin straight while ventral margin broadly expanded posteriorly; interior of the valves is highly glossy, nacre well developed.
