Bell nearly spherical with very thick gelatinous substance, especially at apex; manubrium very large, not extending beyond the bell cavity; mouth simple and tube-like, nouth-rim with nematocysts; four tentacles with large basal bulbs and with many nematocyst clusters on the abaxial side.
