Umbrella pyriform, bell with constriction about one-third its height from the top, forming a solid, globular, gelatinous apex; manubrium half as long as the bell cavity, on a short peduncle; gonads perradial, V-shaped, with three or four transverse folds; oral tentacles divided four or five times; eight clusters of marginal tentacles, each with eight tentacles, with reddish-brown spots on their bases.
