Description
Anterolateral borders cut into five teeth, of which the fourth and fifth are subequal and smaller than the preceding ones. In the six frontal teeth, the submedian ones are slant inwards and slightly broader than the median ones. The first antero-lateral tooth has an accessory spinule on the posterior basal slope.
Carapace is three-quarters as long as broad, and the length of the posterior border is more than half the greatest breadth of the carapace. The propodus of cheliped is not squamiform but granulated. The posterior border of the propodus of natatory leg is marked with three or four spinules instead of being entire. The postbranchial area has two transverse ridges, very small one behind the usual anterior one.

This species is more nearly related to Charybdis than in any other of these small Thalamites with reduced basal antennal joint.
